Dissertation upon American Mining Law: A. H. Ricketts 1893

$ 15.83

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Condition: Binding is very good with tape on spine with title written upon it. Contents from page 1 to 56 are loose, pages 57/58 still attached to contents. Light damp stain shown in scans. The text is stapled and when the original owner opened the cover, the contents separated. Overall the contents are clean and near very good. If you had to judge the entire package as a collectable by condition, fair to near good. To use as a reference, very good. I am pricing this as a RARE Reference used by a Miner, although no name or indication of the previous owner.

    Description

    The text block from pages 1 to 56 are loose from the binding.  The method of binding was poorly thought out.  No wonder there are NO Copies found for sale on the Internet.
    This is an important Dissertation by an early expert.
    This gives Legal Terms and Definitions to Mining Law.  There was a loose Title Page used as a book mark"  American Mining Code by Henry N. Copp, 1889, Fourth Edition.  I will include that as it is of no value laying around my book cases. The name of Edmund B. Kirby, Box 2234, Denver, Colo is written in the upper right corner.
    I am pricing this as a Novelty that has a nice sturdy binding, but the contents were lucky not to have fallen out in the past.  All of the legal points are foot noted as to sources.
