Amazing early SF/CA Punk, UNUSED concert ticket!
November 22, 1978 was the 15th anniversary of the assassination of John F Kennedy.
The Dead Kennedys were scheduled to play The Mab. When the press git word of this an uproar spread including bomb threats to the club.
Under pressure and unwilling to change the show a showdown was inevitable.
At the last moment teh club changed directions and booked Sun Ra instead. However, the Dead Kennedys did play that night.
Sun Ra went on first and then the doors were opened to the Dead Kennedy fans and the band played.

The Mab was THE Club for Bay Area punk and new wave bands and an important touring stop for bands from beyond the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Mab was one of only a handful (along with CBGBs, Max's, The Masque, Whisky) of truely important clubs from the golden era of US punk. This club was were it all went down. These are truley one-of-a-kind rare punk era collectibles.
