Fine Large Size Antique Art Nouveau Shell Cameo Habille carved in High Relief wearing and Old Mine Diamond Necklace.  Mount is fine hand wrought 14k White Gold.  Cameo Carving is well executed in high relief and the details of the carving remain crisp.  The carving was done using 3 layers of the shell using the top orange layer to highlight the woman's hair and the bodice of her gown.  So lovely!!This piece was obviously well cared for and carefully stored.
The Mine Diamond has a lovely sparkle.  The cameo has a fold down bale allowing wear as a necklace and has its original pin and period roll over closure.
The cameo measures approximately 2" x 1 1/2".  Weight is 11.3 grams. Truly a wearable work of art to treasure and pass down to the next generation!!
